Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 31, 2026

1. Who we are

Cronvert (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered conversion rate optimization platform for e-commerce stores. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at cronvert.com (the “Site”) or use our services (the “Service”).

2. Information we collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers.

Store data: When you install the Cronvert tracking snippet on your e-commerce store, we collect anonymized visitor behavior data including page views, clicks, scroll depth, add-to-cart events, and checkout funnel progression. This data is used to generate CRO recommendations and run A/B tests on your behalf.

Analytics data: We use PostHog for behavioral analytics. PostHog processes visitor interaction data on your store to generate heatmaps, session recordings, and funnel analysis. This data is stored under Cronvert's PostHog account and is not shared with other customers.

Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Cronvert dashboard, including pages visited, features used, and session duration.

Communications: If you contact us via email or support, we retain the content of those communications to provide ongoing support.

3. How we use your information

We use collected information to: provide, operate, and maintain the Service; generate AI-powered CRO recommendations and A/B tests for your store; process payments and manage your subscription; send you service-related communications including daily AI reports and test results; respond to support inquiries; improve and develop new features; comply with legal obligations.

4. How we protect store visitor data

We take the privacy of your customers seriously. The Cronvert tracking snippet collects behavioral data (clicks, scrolls, page views) but does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from your store visitors unless they are logged into your store and you have enabled customer identification. All visitor data is associated with your store only and is never shared with other Cronvert customers, sold to third parties, or used for advertising purposes.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Cronvert: Stripe for payment processing; PostHog for behavioral analytics and session recording; Vercel for website hosting; Supabase for database services; Resend for transactional email. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party for marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Store visitor analytics data is retained for 12 months from the date of collection. When you cancel your subscription, we delete your store data within 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Cookies and tracking

The Cronvert dashboard uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. The tracking snippet installed on your store uses first-party cookies to identify unique visitors and track sessions. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to processing of your data; request data portability; withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at joseph@getcronvert.com.

9. Children's privacy

Cronvert is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
